Kitzsteinhorn, Tauern Cycle Path & the Mountainbike-Flowtrail Maiskogel
This cycling paradise awakens ambition in every cyclist! Challenging routes for real experts, including the 16 km freeride area on the Kitzsteinhorn and leisurely routes for E-Bikers and families. Our cycling region nestling in the Hohe Tauern inspires with its unique variety and not least thanks to the well-known Tauern Cycle Path, which proceeds right past our hotel! The new Maiskogel Trail is ideal for bike beginners. It starts at the mountain station of the MK Maiskogelbahn at 1,570 meters above sea level. The trail meanders slowly over 4.6 km with wide and narrow banked curves, waves and small jumps and ends at the MK Maiskogelbahn Stanger Station at 1,137 m. There is the option of repeating the ride and taking the MK Maiskogelbahn to the starting point or back drive to the center of Kaprun.
Bike transport on the cable cars
The cable cars which operate in the summer transport mountain bikers, complete with their equipment, quickly and comfortably up into the lofty heights, where they get to tackle more tours and can give themselves fully over to that downhill experience. Everyone sets their own pace and chooses a route to suit them
